Garry Tomporowski Architect Ltd. has garnered over 30 years of successful practice experience in Western Canada, starting in the fall of 1997 on the prairies and for the last 15 years in British Columbia. From 1989-1994 as part of this evolution, the Firm expanded to include South East Asia, opening and maintaining joint venture offices in Hong Kong and Guam.
We believe that the consistency and success of our organization is reflected in the fact that over 70% of our work is for repeat Clients. Our Clients tell us that the most significant attributes of our organization are that we are easy to get along with, are interested in their success, and above all listen to their ideas. This allows for an open and candid approach to design while providing a personal and individual service, translating those opportunities into financial success.
Presently GTA maintains a staff of 8 individuals, with contract Architects and Technologists available to meet the needs of any size of project.
The individuals in our organization have a diversity of interests, experience, and ethnic diversity, all of which combine to produce exciting design interchanges, resulting in dynamic and creative project approaches. We believe that the benefit of youthful designers coupled with experienced production managers provides our Clients with the best opportunity to experience a full spectrum of our design capabilities, while being an integral component of our team approach.
The unique geographical characteristics and diversity of Client Groups (from large corporations to remote Aboriginal settlements), has taught us flexibility in listening and responding to the unique social and cultural situations of urban, rural and remote communities.
In the summer of 2001, GTA expanded its services into the building sciences realm, offering building envelope consulting services to developers, contractors and other design professionals. It remains an integral part of our organization and a definite benefit to all of our Clients. This coupled with a continued education program allows us to be at the forefront of emerging building technologies which is a definite benefit to all our Clients.
GTA is open to joint venture arrangements with other local, national or international firms for collaboration on project requiring a unique combination of skill sets or geographic advantage.
