The LSLIB Firehall was designed to accommodate the needs of the Little Shuswap Lake Indian Band. The building incorporates two 20’ by 60’ bays designed to house the existing and future firefighting equipment, with plans to allow for additional bays as required. The remaining portion of the building includes space for accessory equipment, communications centre, training area, technical library, laundry, shower and change room facilities. There was also the provision of an area to accommodate Community Policing and RCMP Staff. Consideration was given to aesthetics and functionality of the building to ensure that the needs of the fire department and those of the community were met.
